The Gospel Goes Classical Brand

“Gospel Goes Classical” will go down in music history as the most innovative, and wonderful synthesis of musical styles – Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Classical.  It will truly capture the imagination,” says Vernice Watson, Executive Producer.

The power and conviction of Juanita Bynum paired with the sincere melodic interpretations of Jonathan Butler are the finishing strokes on a heavenly musical canvass painted by Dr. Henry Panion, III with The Alabama Symphony Orchestra and Choir.

The Brand began in Birmingham, Alabama on June 6, 2003, at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center on the campus of The University of Alabama Birmingham.  The inaugural event featured Dorinda Clark Cole, Byron Cage and the music of Tramaine Hawkins with The Alabama Symphony Orchestra.  The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Dr. Lawrence Pijeaux, Chairman and Vicki Mack Lataillade, CEO of Gospo Centric Records sponsored the event.
